C+A Takes Home Heritage Award

Our lifecycle renewal project for the Aberdeen Pavilion is this year’s winner of the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals Award of Excellence in Conservation—Architecture.

Aberdeen Pavilion, located in Lansdowne Park, is a National Historic Site of Canada. Our work on the building consisted of repairs to the floor slab, renovations and construction of washrooms, upgrades to accessibility issues, and restoration of the main “barn” doors and windows. The judges singled out our attention to detail involved in retaining the heritage character of the windows as a determining reason for their award selection.

COLE+Associates accepted the award at the 2018 CAHP-ACECP Award Ceremony at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery in Fredericton, New Brunswick. We have previously won CAHP Awards for our work on the Confederation Building (2013) and East Block (2014) in the Parliamentary Precinct.
